This article will explain how to make nested keyword topic links in the index. This can be useful to help users quickly find a specific term that is related to a broad parent subject.
To add a nested keyword, you need to add it in the same way that you would add a normal keyword; by opening your topic and selecting the Index Keywords tab at the bottom of the topic - For a nested keyword, you have to type the parent term, then a vertical bar, followed by the name of the keyword into the Keyword field. For example:
Order|Adding Order|Deleting Order|Editing Order|Viewing
In the above example, the "Adding" keyword will be added to the index, and it will be nested under an "Order" entry - as with each of the other examples. This will result in the following in the built output:
