The default plain HTML web output entry point file name for the Classic and Material templates is webframe.html. This can be changed to a different file name using the two methods described below.
Using the Settings in the Build Profile Editor
The most common way of changing the default entry point name is in the build profile editor. You can do this by opening up the build profile editor and navigating to the "Browser Help" page. From there, you can change the Root Page Filename to a page name of your choosing.
Using the Settings in a Custom Template
You can also rename webframe.html by using custom browser template to better integrate with existing web servers (e.g. index.html) or for SEO. Below are some steps outlining how to change this filename:
- Open a custom browser template for editing, or create a new custom template based on an existing browser template (more information on custom templates can be found in the online help under Customization).
- In the Template Editor window select the Page Types page menu item
- Select the webframe.html Page Type, enter the desired file name in the Generated FileName format field (e.g. index.html)
