Cannot create Document! X Visual Studio project (missing C++ project type)

I am using Document! X 2008. When i try to create a new Document! X project from within Visual Studio I get the following error message:

"A new Visual Studio project could not be created to contain the generated Document! X project file as the Document!X Visual Studio project type uses C++ Project Type components and C++ is not currently installed"

After seeing this message from the first time I installed VS C++project type, but I still got the error message. I have verified that I now can create i.e. a C++ console app.

Then I tried reinstalling Document! X, but I still get the error message.

Hello,

We have been unable to reproduce this issue can you confirm which version of Visual Studio you are using?

Document! X projects can be added to an existing Visual Studio project using the Project \ Add New Item option this would work as a work around.
