I recently came across this problem in one of my products. I'm using DocumentX 2008 and the products I'm documenting are in ActiveX, .NET and Windows Workflow (in Visual Studio 2005/2008). My system is Windows XP, version 2002, Service Pack 3.
These are the steps to reproduce:
1. Check out my files from Perforce to my hard drive.
2. Open .dxp and make changes.
3. Save and compile .dxp.
4. Open .chm to check output.
5. Go to Perforce to check in files. Cannot check in .dxc, .dxp and .dll because they are "missing".
6. Go to hard drive and check folder. Only .chm is there.
7. Search hard drive for .dxc, .dxp, and .dll and they are not there.
