Integrating DocX projects into Visual Studio build process

 I recently purchased DocX to document my company's API. The API source code is written using Visual Studio C++/CLI. The developers would like to include the DocX help files as part of the normal build process. I have perused the help files but have been unable to find instructions.

 Ideally, they want to include a step in the software build process that calls the DocX build to create the necessary files they can then bind into the DLL so our customers can use Intellisense, etc. from within their Visual Studio projects that use our DLL.

 Any suggestions?

  Unattended documentation builds are supported through the Document! X Automation license which includes:
  

  1. A Command Line build utility (with VB6 source code).

  2. Access to the Document! X COM APIs for more low level integration.

  3. Innovasys Support for use of Document! X in an automated build environment.

  4. Entitlement to install Document! X on up to 2 'build machines' plus a third machine for interactive work (if purchased separately).

  An MSBuild task is also available as part of the automation license, on request. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

  For the benefit of anyone coming across this post, command line building, an MSBuild task and TFS Activity are now included as standard in our 2012.1 version. The same build machine entitlement still applies for team (5+) licenses. Contact sales@innovasys.com if you need more info.
