Richard Sloggett By default, images are compressed as JPGs in order to minimize file size. The default quality is high and in our tests we have not seen any significant artifacts, even in images containing text, so it is odd that you are unable to read the text in the generated PDF. You can disable image compression or change the compression level on the Pdf Settings page in the booklet editor. If that doesn't help, could you forward a copy of your project to support@innovasys.com so that we can investigate.

phsteyt Hi Richard I'm working with HS2011. I also have an image quality issue in PDF. This one seems to be a bit different though (I verified the settings in Build Profiles > myBooklet > Booklet > Pdf settings and the Compress Image box is left unchecked) In comparison with the same project, generated a couple of month ago with HS3, the images are less clear - and I noticed that wide images (which were simply truncated in the earlier pdfs, which was OK for me) are now arbitrarily resized (about 70% of their intended original size) - and are now so small they do not occupy the full width of the page. Is there any way to change some settings somewhere ? Many thanks already Pierre-Henri P.S. Alternatively, which would be the best practice to get images correctly printing in pdf? I am working from screenshots, since the Help system I a building is about a web portal. -
phsteyt Hello there !
I reinstalled HS2011 and seem to have lost some booklets settings - most importantly a fix that the support team sent me a while ago, to disable the automatic graphic resize by CSS (see my post above)
I can't find your reply anymore in my emails, nor in this thread ... can you please assist me again? :o)
Many tanks
