Image Size in PDF Booklets

Hi everyone!

I've got a Question related to the generation of PDF Booklets from my Help Project.

We use the Image Widget in our Help project and it works fine when using CHM as output format. The image thumbnail is shown and with a click on the enlarge link the image is shown in full size.

When using PDF as output the image is shown as thumbnail only. What we would like to the PDF output to produce is using the full image size that is shown in CHM when clicking on the enlarge link.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

Any help would be appreciated!

  The solution to this issue would be to use a use Build Flags to mark the relevant content for the appropriate output. Below are some steps for your scenario:

  • Add the full size image that you want to appear in the PDF directly before / after the dynamic image widget.
  • Mark the full size image with the Booklet Only Build Flag.
  • Mark the dynamic image widget with the Online Only Build Flag.
  • Open your Build Profile for you non-booklet output's, select Use Build Flags and check the Online Only Build Flag.
  • Open you Booklet, select Use Build Flags and check the Booklet Only Build Flag.

  The above steps ensure that only content marked with the relevant flag or content with no flags will appear in the appropriate output type. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

  Thank you for this workaround. However, it would be much more helpful if the dynamic image widget automatically (or gave the option) to use the full size image in the booklet. (So I suppose you could consider this a feature request).
