Any thoughts on why 'Open from Source Control' menu option no longer appears in HS3.1.0.6?

Previous projects under source control can still be opened from s.c. - but a new branch cannot be opened within HS

Can you check your Source Control Connection properties are still correct in Tools\Options.

I would recommend upgrading to 3.5.0.0 as soon as practical as it contains several Source Control integration features and fixes.
