Hyperlink not working

I am creating a project in which the only build is for HTML files for posting to an intranet web server.

I have some bookmarks on a page, when I create a hyperlink, even on the same page, to those bookmarks I get an error.  The error points to the project folders rather than the build folders and basically says it cannot find the file - I think the build process is making the link absolute rather than relative?

The HTML looks ok through the program.  Anybody got any ideas?

  Hi Mike, thanks for the quick response and offer to look at the project.

  Before I did that I thought I would try stepping back through any changes I made and I managed to figure out what the problem is/was ...

   I moved the project to a network share, when building from here the links do not work properly and have an absolute reference/UNC to the bookmark in the project folders.  If the project is on a local disk then they work fine.

  Hello,

  I have been unable to reproduce this exact issue here. However we have had other previous issue's related to building projects on a network share so we do recommend building the project locally.

  Could you let me know the network path you are using as this may be the cause of the issue i.e special characters or some other contributing factor.

  Hi Mike,

  The path was:

  X:\Finance & Administration\Information Technology\Files\Projects\Operations Book\Policies and Procedures\policies.hsp

  Hi Trevor,

  We have had issues similar to this reported before, these are almost always related to what appears to be a HTML Help Compiler bug with having an & in the path. Could you please try replacing the & with "and" and let me know if that doesn't solve the problem. I appreciate your help in this matter.

  I built it again from Y:\Policies and Procedures\policies.hsp

  Worked as it should, so I agree that it is the & and not just being on the network share.

  I think I will follow your earlier recommendation from now on though, and run locally.....
