How to upgrade a HelpStudio 3 project to HelpStudio 4 (source controlled)

We have some legacy helpstudio projects which we want to convert from version 3 to version 4.
However, when I open an existing solution I get the following error

"Opening HelpStudio 3 projects that have been added to Source Control in not supported. Use File\save as in Helpstudio 3 to save a copy that is not in Source Control".

We no longer have HelpStudio 3 installed / available
The files are copied to another directory (can we remove the source control bindings ?)
Are you planning to write an upgrade option, so we can migrate existing solutions ?

Because of the significant changes in file format between v3 and 2011 you need to use Save As in v3 in order to have the project saved as a single .hsp file so that it can be upgraded. The easiest solution is to install v3 (perhaps in a Virtual Machine for convenience if you don't want to install it locally) and then use it to do a Save As for your projects. Once you have saved the project without the source control bindings you can open it directly in 2011 and save it in the new format.
