Change namespace title that appears in .NET Assembly TOC?

Hi all,

I am attempting to create some customized .NET Assembly documentation and would like to alter the topic titles that are currently being added to the TOC.  I've come over from the HelpAndManual world and am struggling mightily to get anywhere with Innovasys.

Sorry if this is such a basic question but, as I said, I'm struggling.

Our assembly namespaces are structured as follows:

Company.Product.ComponentA

Company.Product.ComponentB

so this appears in the TOC as:

"Company.Product.ComponentA Namespace"

"Company.Product.ComponentB Namespace"

 I would simply like to remove the word "Namespace" that is automatically getting appending to the namespace text.  I assume that I do this using a custom template and some sort of custom variable but for the life of me, I cannot find where to make the change.

  Could you please confirm with me what Table of Contents node setup you have in your project? Which Document! X placeholder nodes are you using?

  Here's a screen shot. It's the default .NET assembly documentation placeholder.

  Hi Jim,

  Yes, this is possible.

  If you change the default "Document! X placeholder" table of contents node to "Document! X placeholder (specific documentation type)" and then open that ToC node for edit (double click it). From there, set the Documentation Type to ".NET Assembly Documentation" and set the Table of Contents Layout Source to A custom Table of Contents layout.  You will then see the Template nodes appear beneath the placeholder on the ToC. If you expand and select the node beneath "$$Namespaces$$" (with a Custom Caption of %%Local_Item_Title%%), you can change the custom caption to %%ItemName%% - that will cause Namespace nodes to be output with just the same without the "Namespace" suffix.

  Thank you, that did the trick.  I was 90% of the way there with the custom table - I just could not find anything in the docs suggesting (to this novice user at least) that  "%%ItemName%%" was the variable I was looking for!  I figured it had to be something easy that I was not seeing.
