Display of .NET inherited members

I discovered after installing the latest version of DocX 2008 that the inherited members no longer displayed. I inquired to innovasys who did not have any clue what i was talking about.

 I since discovered that the xml files the .NET inherited members are trying to find no longer use the default %netpath% that is designated in your dxc file within the xml parameters, but you have to key in the actual path on your machine. Make sure to include the trailing slash /

 I exlained this to innovasys in detail and how we fixed the issue. They responded by stating it's a .NET 3.0 framework issue if it's installed on your machine.

 I just thought i should share this information as it was very frustrating and hard to find an answer to.

  I think we did have a bit of a clue what you were talking about :)

  Just to clarify the issue; if you have .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5 installed, the location of the .NET framework XML comment files is invalid (as the .NET framework 3.0 and 3.5 directories don't contain XML comment files). The end result being that Document! X does not locate the framework XML files correctly.

  You can work around the issue by explicitly defining the location of the .NET framework XML comment files (c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\ by default on a 32bit machine). You can do this by editing the \documents and settings\all users\application data\innovasys\documentx5\commentfilelocations.xml file (\programdata\innovasys\documentx5\commentfilelocations.xml on Vista) and replacing the %netpath% value with the full path to the .NET framework 2.0 directory. Note that this setting is not contained in the .dxc file as Roxane suggested.

  This behavior is a Document! X bug affecting machines with the .NET framework 3.0 or 3.5 installed and will be fixed in the next update to Document! X which is due for release shortly.
