Hi,
During our current process of building our guide we merge a lot of external html files.
I was wondering how easy will it be to import those files into the Document! X project.
specifrically:
1) will it be possible to edit them from within the document X IDE?
2) can we add links from the external resources to the internal API? (and vice Versa)
3) will embedded images be imported automatically or do they need to added manually?
other tips are also more then welcomed.

You can add Additional Files that have been authored manually to the ‘Additional Files’ page in the Document! X project editor, and then modify the Table of Contents to include Nodes for the additional files. You could also add new page layouts and related content types to have these pages available in every project using your custom template.
The traditional Help Authoring capabilities of Document! X are by design limited in order to concentrate on the reference and automation documentation aspects. For a rich Help Authoring environment we offer our HelpStudio product which includes a comprehensive set of functionality for creating additional help content. HelpStudio integrates with Document! X - you include a placeholder on the HelpStudio Table of Contents identifying where you want the Document! X content included and HelpStudio produces a complete help system including both the Document! X content and the topics and glossary you have authored in HelpStudio.
In addition, HelpStudio includes the Document! X member tree on it’s hyperlink designer dialog which makes it simple to create links from your HelpStudio content to Document! X generated topics.
